Promotion of SHGs and Micro Finance

Promotion of SHGs and Micro Finance is one of Amanat Foundation’s leading programmes in regulating rural economics. Functioning on pro-poor policy and active social developmental programme implementation, AFT felt the necessity of Self-Help Groups and Micro Finance for rural people especially women groups who are even more economically vulnerable and socially excluded.

This programme is aimed at empowering poor rural people and uniting them socially. AFT is promoting SHGs with the help of women in four districts Murshidabad, Birbhum, North 24 Parganas and South 24 Parganas. Total savings and inner lending of SHGs have crossed Rs. 500,000 and Rs. 12,688,70 respectively which conforms to the ratio saving and lending.
