
RCH – II
Reproductive and Child Health or RCH-II is an ongoing programme supported by Health Department, Govt of India which is running in two sub-centres namely Surjapur-I and Toryal under Goalpokher-Ii Block of Uttar Dinajpur district. The programme has been continuing since July 2006 and is gradually reaching every household, especially the targeted EC families. AFT’s activities in the RCH-II programme include both social mobilization and direct immunization; under which immunization of pregnant mothers and newborn baby are tracked up to 24 months. AFT is playing the role of field NGO (FNGO) in program implementation.
One project coordinator, four field/extension staff are involved in implementation of the programme. Besides, one medical officer and ANM are also associated with AFT’s clinical and outreach camps. Logistic support is being provided by the block-level health department, BPHC, BMOh and BPHN area who are also linked to the programme as close monitors.
