School Chalo Avijan

Every year Amanat Foundation organizes School Chalo Avijan (“Go to School” movement) in the month of May. This programme is designed as an awareness generation measure. The programme includes meeting with Village Education Committee (VEC), discussing issues with the villagers, community sessions, one on one with students, communication with guardians, wall painting and so on.

This is a support programme to Sarba Shiksha Avijan (SSA) launched by the District Primary Education Programme (DPEP). Beside awareness generation, Amanat also functions to arrange education for school-drop-outs and out-of-school children into various educational institutes across West Bengal. The endeavour is coordinated with PRI members, teachers, VECs, SHGs and other stakeholders of the society. At present Amanat is the partner of DPEP in Uttar Dinajpur and Murshidabad.
