Amanat Foundation Trust (AFT), is a social voluntary organization founded in 1994, with the zeal to channelize educational and skill development resources towards marginalized welfare. At present, Amanat Foundation is a familiar name in the state of West Bengal in India, with a shining presence in the map of state social development imperatives. In its history spanning two decades, AFT has made strides on the path of education, health, child protection, nutrition, water sanitation and hygiene, Disaster Risk Reduction, environment, and poverty alleviation with a remarkable state-wide acceptability and trust from the government, national and international agencies. AFT got registered under the provision of Indian Trust Act (1982) on 14 July 1994 with the Registrar of Assurance, Kolkata. Later the Trust also received approval from FCRA, Ministry of Home Affairs, GoL enabling it to receive Foreign Aid. It also has a status of Income Tax Exemption (both for Donor and Recipient).
